Renee joined Advanced Benefit Plans in September of 2014 where she quickly realized that her ministry is helping others with their insurance needs. She was blessed to work alongside her late father, Don Fink, until March 2017 and with her husband from 2019-2020.

Renee grew up as a military dependent but moved to her father’s hometown of Albemarle when she was a sophomore in high school after he retired from the Air Force. She graduated from Albemarle High School and attended Appalachian State University where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English. After college, she moved to Northern Virginia and, after a brief time teaching, pursued a career in Human Resources, where she learned valuable skills and fostered her love of insurance benefits and meeting new people.

She now lives with her husband (John), their two boys (Hayden and Liam), Renee’s mother, two dogs and two cats near Mt. Pleasant, NC. It is a full house, but she wouldn’t have it any other way!

Tonya Padilla, Office Assistant

Tonya has been with Advanced Benefit Plans since 2019 and assists Renee seasonally in the Albemarle office. You may encounter her friendly voice when you call in or schedule an appointment, especially between October and December. While not an agent, Tonya is familiar with the company and can assist clients with questions or concerns. Tonya lives in Concord, NC with her husband, two kids and cat and dog.

Dodger

As an unofficial member of Advanced Benefit Plans, Dodger sometimes accompanies Renee to the Albemarle office. He is very well-behaved and loves greeting people. He may be big, but he is a big sweetheart! He is happy just lounging around the office or snuggled in his pen.
